Joining me for the third year running was 79 years young Dilys accompanied by her daughter Jenny who had travelled from New Zealand to sample the mountains of Snowdonia.
Â
Dilys has walked, scrambled and climbed all over the world so I knew there would be no mamby pamby walks for her during our three day adventure!
Â
First up was an 8 hour plus Nantlle Ridge circular dropping off into Cwm Pennant and the non existing pathways.
Â
Second day was a long traverse over the Hebog Ridge taking in Hebog (special interest taken of the geology here), Moel yr Ogof and Lefn, with a gnarly path though Beddgelert forest back to the start.
Â
The last day was an interesting walk on the Glyderau, starting from Ogwen taking the lovely Llymllyd Ridge up to the back of Foel Goch and then onto Carnedd y Filiast to look at the wavy rocks and Atlantic slabs.
We returned to Ogwen by the Western Edge contouring path under the Mushroom Gardens ( still can't see why they call it that!
Â
A great three day adventure on some of our most iconic Snowdonia Landscapes, well done Dilys and Jenny.
