Myself and Andy geared up for a day on Snowdon earlier in the week, the forecast was not good with high winds, rain and hail promised but we neede to get out there!
As we arrived at a wet and quiet Pen y Pass the weather was as promised, wet, cold and windy and we were still in the car! But off we set, calling into the Wardens office first, we found the mountain goats had decided to use the facilities and were hiding in the ladies toilet, that questioned our decision to go up the hill!
Off we set on the Miners Path reaching as far as the intersection with the Pyg, wether was closing in now so we abandoned ship and headed back down the Pyg and for a change headed over the Horns from Bwlch y Moch arriving back at Pen y Pass just as a rain bomb arrived.
Even as we were heading down there were quite a few people heading up some had kit some didnt, usual story! but not good given the current conditions and the incoming weather. Hey ho.
Couple of photos of the wise goats!
