Just as I am about to set off tomorrow for 10 days in the mountains the weather is forecasted to be wintery, middle of June whats going on?
I have a full itinerary, taking in Snowdon at least twice day & night, Tryfan, Siabod, Glyders, Crimpiau, Lower Carneddau, Anglesy and hopefully some R&R, with that forecast I had better take plenty of spare clothes etc.
Mountain Leaders Jacob & Smyrff are taking a party of 16 up Snowdon by the Rhyd Ddu Path for me on Saturday, forecast does not look too bad for them and I hope they have a great walk.
Weekends are definately very busy on Snowdon, Saturday is our busiest day and can be quite uncomfortable on the summit area, avoid that day if you can and, try to take one of the quieter paths.
There are places available on the Open Group Walk on Thursday 20th June £40pp, contact me if you fancy a fully guided and informative day out on our fantastic mountain.
A guide to telephone signal on the Pyg track and Miners Path on Snowdon (its only a guide!! signals change)
